Positive Coaching Alliance announces Theresa Sherry as the 2023 Double-Goal Coach of the Year, presented by TeamSnap.

PCA previously announced the top 25 national winners of the Double-Goal Coach® award, and after a final round of reviews from the award’s selection committee, Sherry was named the winner.

Full announcement below, by Positive Coaching Alliance

Sherry created her lacrosse club, The Tenacity Project, a non-profit organization, as a way to give back to the game and the sport that has been so critical in her life. The club is about so much more than lacrosse. They focus on mental health, leadership, and physical health training as part of their curriculum. They are empowering young women through lacrosse to have the best outcomes in life. Through The Tenacity Project scholarship and aid programs, all girls have access to lacrosse, even if their circumstances would not normally allow it.

This past weekend, PCA had the chance to catch up with Sherry in Indio, CA, where six Tenacity teams were participating in the 2023 Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival.

You can learn more about Theresa’s story at the Game Changer Awards and Benefit on January 26 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.

See you there. If you are interesting in learning more about TeamSnap Impact and our involvement in the Positive Coaching Alliance, see more here.

Last year’s 2022 Coach of the Year winner: Breasha Pruitt.
